2019 CEA National Legislative Conference

  • Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill 400 New Jersey Ave NW Washington, DC 20001 United States (map)

The CEA National Legislative Conference is sponsored by three premier construction specialty contracting associations to press Congress on issues impacting the signatory contractor community in the United States.  The conference is focused on raising awareness about the value of quality construction among national, state and local leaders, as well as the general public.

The Legislative Conference engages at all levels of public policy to ensure that taxpayers receive full value for their construction dollar. The CEA believes that “quality construction” means high-quality work offered at a competitive price that meets or exceeds the customer’s specifications and is produced on time and on budget using a well-trained, efficient and highly skilled workforce.  Sponsoring organizations and their members are dedicated to bringing quality to construction buyers.

Sponsoring associations include:  the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA), the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA), and The Association of Union Constructors (TAUC) - which together represent industries comprised of more than 22,000 contractor firms that perform mechanical, electrical, sheet metal, plumbing, air conditioning, steel erection, painting, glazing, flooring and related work, using well-trained and highly skilled workers from the organized building trades.

Contractors supporting the Construction Employers of America make a significant investment every day to bring this nation the highest quality, most cost effective construction, while providing for a safe, highly skilled, well-paid workforce. It all adds up to true Quality Construction.
